The No Brainer Way To Increase Quality SEO Traffic For Your Business

Do you have a business or brand and plan to make oodles of money and gain tons of exposure? Of course you do!

Does that business or brand needs customers, clients and sales to reach that goal? It sure does!

So what’s one thing that can help drive business, build brand awareness and convert possible customers into sales?

A blog on your business website! And here’s why..

1. A Blog is SEO’s Best Buddy

In the age of digital commerce, SEO is king. The ease with which Google, Yahoo and other search engines can find, analyze and index your content is crucial!

You want your webpages, and therefore your website, to be among the top suggestions when someone is searching a query.

Having a blog on your website creates space and opportunity for lots of keywords, keyword phrases and other searchable terms; all the little golden nuggets of great SEO.

Blogs also give you the ability to create multiple posting a month and increase the opportunity for searchable content.

2. Blogs Increase Brand Awareness

Brand awareness, one of the key steps in creating and promoting a business or brand, is all about how familiar your target audience is with your products, services and message.

This is done by creating a narrative, producing quality content and establishing the association of your business with other major competitors…all things that can be done through blog posts and their SEO power.

Marketing a business is all about trust and relationships (which I’ll talk more about next) and having a blog space on your site allows for you to build that trust and therefore, your brand awareness.

3. Blogs Build Relationships

Way back in college when I was learning about advertising and marketing, one of the things I heard again and again was, “Business is about relationships” and it’s true.

In order to grow an audience, following or customer base you must cultivate and nurture the relationship between you and them. Having a blog space for your business allows for this connection.

Through your blog your audience gets to learn more about you, your mission, your products and WHY they should choose you to solve their problem.

4. Blogs Establish Your Expertise

You started your business because you’re an expert in your field, right? Then tell them about it! A blog on your site creates authority and sets you up as an expert by allowing you to educate your audience.

Long form writing is one of the best ways to teach, inform and persuade; blog articles achieve all three of these goals. It’s your most under utilized tool.

5. Blogs Create Shareable Content

How many times have you read something valuable/interesting/helpful, immediately thought of who would also benefit from reading it and within seconds copy and pasted that link to your whole book club/work friends/running group? Probably more than you realize!

Website content is easily sharable, making it a powerful marketing tool. When you create content, in this case a blog post, that’s valuable and easy for you audience to share with their network, you’ve just exponentially expanded your reach!

Blogging For Business Is A Crucial Tool

Blogging, in the world of business, is still in its adolescents compared to other types of marketing but its power is well established. According to 2020 data, 72% of online marketers describe content creation as their most effective SEO tactic. That’s huge!

The business of business marketing can be tricky. There is a lot to think about and a lot of ways to go about promoting the valuable work you do, but a tried and true tactic is having a blog page on your website.

So What’s Next…

Now, the next step is to write those SEO friendly, content rich blog articles!

This is something that can be done in-house or contracted out (to a freelance writer such as myself) but creating a content plan, having a strong understanding of SEO and utilizing good writing skills are a must. With a blog in place, you’re ready to take your business to the next level!
